Bosnia and Herzegovina Aligns with EU Sanctions Against Iran

Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially aligned itself with the European Union's restrictive measures targeting Iran, as announced by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. This move signifies Bosnia and Herzegovina's commitment to adhering to international sanctions regimes.

The EU Council's decision, dated July 24, involved the removal of three individuals from the list of sanctioned persons and an update to the details of one legal entity. Crucially, the restrictive measures against all other listed individuals and entities remain in effect, indicating a continued focus on specific targets within Iran.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is not alone in this alignment. A number of other European nations and associated states have also synchronized their foreign policy measures with the EU's stance on Iran. These include Albania, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, and Ukraine, demonstrating a broad regional consensus on the restrictive measures.
