Boy, 9, in Intensive Care After Electric Shock; Mother Urges Safety Measures

A 9-year-old boy, Ibragim Anarbekov, remains in critical condition in intensive care after receiving an electric shock in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The incident happened on the evening of July 26 while Ibragim was playing with classmates near irrigation ditches on Aytiev Street in the 6th microdistrict.

According to his mother, several children felt an electric shock near the water. While others managed to jump away and warn each other, Ibragim was thrown back by the jolt. She described her son as a healthy, active child who participated in sports, but he is now on artificial respiration and cannot breathe on his own. Doctors are reportedly doing everything possible for him.

The preliminary version suggests a malfunction in the external lighting line within the building's internal power supply system. The exact causes of the accident are still under investigation.
