Brad Pitt has initiated a new legal maneuver against his former wife, Angelina Jolie, marking the latest development in their protracted legal disputes that began after their 2016 split. Pitt's lawyers state that Jolie submitted income documents for 2020 and 2021 but refused to provide data for the period between 2017 and 2019. The filing also references Jolie's earlier claims of wanting to sell her stake in the estate to achieve "financial independence" from her ex-husband, which led to an initial lawsuit in 2022 after she privately sold her share to Tenute del Mondo. Pitt contends they had a prior agreement that neither could sell their stake without the other's consent, a claim Jolie's legal team disputes.
