Brawl at entertainment venue ends in murder

A dispute at an entertainment venue in Izmir's Basmane neighborhood turned deadly late Tuesday night. The altercation began between Şenol Tayran, a 45-year-old worker for the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality's Parks and Gardens Directorate, and another individual identified as D.T., along with a group of people present at the venue.

The argument quickly escalated into a knife fight, resulting in both Tayran and D.T. sustaining stab wounds. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene following reports of the incident.

Paramedics provided initial treatment before transporting the injured men to the Tepecik Training and Research Hospital. Despite all efforts, Şenol Tayran succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. D.T. is also receiving treatment.

Following the incident, police apprehended three individuals suspected of involvement. An investigation into the exact cause of the dispute and the circumstances leading to the fatal stabbing is ongoing.
