Brawl Near Manggarai Station Halts Bogor-Jakarta Commuter Line Services

Commuter line train services on the Bogor-Jakarta Kota route experienced significant delays and temporary suspensions on Friday afternoon. The disruption, which began around 5:00 PM WIB, was caused by a brawl that erupted near the level crossing at Manggarai Station.

KAI Commuter, the operator of the train service, confirmed the halt was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and the security of the train operations. "The Commuter Line Bogor service from Manggarai and from Tebet has been temporarily stopped. This step was taken to ensure the safety of users and the security of the Commuter Line service," stated Leza Arlan, Manager of Public Relations for KAI Commuter.

Security personnel from KAI Commuter stations have been actively coordinating with relevant parties and are present near the incident site to secure the railway line. The brawl resulted in eight Commuter Line Bogor services bound for Jakarta Kota being affected, and an additional six services heading towards Bogor were held back and unable to pass the affected area. As of 6:05 PM WIB, authorities reported that the railway line between Manggarai and Pasar Minggu stations had been secured, and train services towards Bogor were resuming, with queues expected to clear.
