Sources close to the Brazilian government described the meetings as "good" but emphasized that the situation is still "evolving." Ambassador Bitelli is expected to return to Buenos Aires, but a definitive timeline has not yet been set. The discussions, which extended beyond the initially scheduled time, focused on "analyzing the situation" rather than making immediate decisions. The crisis erupted when Milei publicly insulted Lula and a Supreme Court justice during an event in São Paulo, prompting Brazil to summon Argentina's ambassador and recall Bitelli for consultations.

Despite the diplomatic tensions, Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno downplayed the possibility of a complete breakdown in relations, stating that Argentina would not sever ties. Brazilian officials acknowledged this de-escalation positively but indicated it was not sufficient to immediately resolve the crisis or set a date for Bitelli's return. This marks the second round of consultations between Bitelli and Vieira, following an initial meeting on Monday that also addressed the bilateral relationship's fallout from Milei's comments.
