Speaking at a ceremony for newly trained federal officers in Brasília, Rodrigues stated that the corporation acts without protecting or persecuting anyone, advocating for a purely technical approach free from any political influence.

Rodrigues' remarks come amid heightened scrutiny of the Federal Police's investigations, particularly those involving Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, the son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. President Lula himself recently accused the police of leaking information to the press regarding the case.
