BRI Bandung Targets 17% Housing Loan Growth This Year

Despite a challenging monetary environment with rising interest rates and currency fluctuations, BRI Regional Office Bandung remains optimistic about housing loan growth. The bank aims to increase its housing loan portfolio by 17% this year, targeting Rp 1.3 trillion, buoyed by West Java's position as Indonesia's top property growth region.

Rindra Setyawan, Regional Consumer Banking Head at BRI RO Bandung, acknowledged that some potential buyers are adopting a "wait and see" approach due to concerns about future installment increases. However, he emphasized BRI's commitment to being a key partner in realizing homeownership dreams through adaptive and prudent business strategies.

To address customer concerns, BRI has launched innovative programs such as the tiered interest rate KPR (Kredit Pemilikan Rumah). This scheme provides initial low installments, allowing customers to better manage their finances and plan long-term without the anxiety of market interest rate fluctuations. BRI is focusing on offering certainty and flexibility to its customers.

Furthermore, in support of the government's housing program, BRI RO Bandung offers KPR FLPP (Housing Finance Liquidity Facility) for low-income earners. This program guarantees a fixed interest rate of 5.00% for up to 20 years, providing a stable and secure mortgage solution insulated from economic volatility. BRI also collaborates with top-tier developers to facilitate access to these KPR products.
