BRI Youth Championship League 2026 Partners with Barca Academy to Cultivate Top Football Talent

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Tbk has initiated the BRI Youth Championship League (BYCL) 2026, aiming to cultivate Indonesia's burgeoning football talent. The league has brought together 108 under-14 clubs from 18 of BRI's regional offices nationwide, with competitions commencing in February 2026 at the regional level.

After going through an extraordinary and very sporting competition from all over Indonesia, 108 clubs have selected the four best, from Bandung, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Lampung. The hope is that this agenda can encourage young people, under 14, to develop extraordinary habits, meaning they can become top seeds to make history in the world of football.

Following intense and sporting regional competitions, four top teams have emerged from Bandung, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Lampung to compete in the finals. Andreas Hassim, Group Head of Retail Funding Group at BRI, expressed hope that the event would foster exceptional habits among young players, positioning them as future stars in Indonesian football. Recognizing football's immense popularity in Indonesia, BRI has committed to this event, notably partnering with the official academy of Spanish giant FC Barcelona. This collaboration includes coaching clinics led by official Barca Academy coaches, who will share their expertise and international training methodologies with the young participants.
