Brief Weather Respite Ahead for Croatia Before New Change Arrives Sunday

Croatia can expect a temporary break from unsettled weather, with sunny and warmer conditions forecast for Friday and Saturday. However, this pleasant spell will be short-lived as a new period of worsening weather is anticipated from Sunday.

The forecast indicates partly to mostly sunny skies and very warm daytime temperatures across the country. In Slavonia, Baranja, and Srijem, expect predominantly sunny weather with moderate to strong north and northwest winds. Morning temperatures will range from 12 to 14 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 24 and 26 degrees.

Central Croatia will see similar sunny conditions with occasional cloud cover. The northern Adriatic coast will also be sunny and very warm, though brief showers are possible in the mountainous regions. Strong to gale-force northerly winds (bura) are expected along the coast, particularly under Velebit.

Dalmatia will largely experience sunny weather, with some moderate to increased cloudiness inland. Strong northerly winds will prevail, weakening in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius. The far south of the country might see isolated showers and thunderstorms overnight and in the morning, but should become at least partly sunny during the day with moderate to strong northerly winds.

Saturday is expected to be sunny and very warm for most of the country. However, by Sunday, cloud cover will gradually increase. Rain and thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday afternoon and Monday, with the potential for more intense downpours, especially along the Adriatic coast. Southerly and southwesterly winds will pick up along the coast.
