Brutal hit attack in Fusagasugá left two dead: authorities locate those responsible

Fusagasugá, Cundinamarca, was the scene of a violent attack on the night of Saturday, August 1st, when a gunman opened fire inside a bar, leaving two people dead. The incident took place in the area known as the old nursing home.

According to security footage from the bar and surrounding areas, the assailant dismounted from a motorcycle, entered the establishment, and immediately began shooting at a man, who died at the scene. The attacker then fled on the same motorcycle.

One victim has been identified as Andrés Felipe González Rodríguez, and authorities are working to confirm if the second deceased, who passed away at a local medical center, is Karen Vanessa Saldarriaga García. Reports indicate the alleged perpetrators escaped along Avenida de Las Palmas.

Law enforcement agencies have initiated search operations to apprehend those responsible. The Metropolitan Police of Cundinamarca stated that the case is under investigation and they will not release further information until the facts are clarified. The Mayor's Office of Fusagasugá has also not yet commented on the shooting.
