Bucaramanga Shooting Leaves One Young Man Dead, Another Injured

A shooting in Bucaramanga, Colombia, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, resulted in the death of a 19-year-old and serious injuries to a 20-year-old. The victims, identified as Cristian Andrés Fabón and Adrián Blanco, were reportedly attacked by a man on a black Suzuki Gixer motorcycle in the Los Colorados neighborhood.

According to police reports, the assailant, described as wearing a white shirt with black stripes, fired multiple shots at the young men. The community alerted authorities after hearing the gunfire. Relatives attempted to transport the injured to medical centers by motorcycle.

Fabón, known by the alias "El Peligro," died at the Hospital Local del Norte. Blanco sustained injuries to his leg and arm and is reported to be in stable condition. The attack occurred as the victims were reportedly buying motorcycle parts in the San Francisco neighborhood and were ambushed in Los Colorados.

Authorities are investigating the motive, with micro-trafficking disputes being the primary hypothesis. Security cameras in the area are being reviewed to identify the suspect, who remains at large.
