Bulukumba District Attorney's Office Receives Rp1.41 Billion in Rice Corruption Case Recovery

Republika reports that the Bulukumba District Attorney's Office has successfully received Rp1.41 billion, a significant recovery of state losses stemming from a corruption case involving rice distribution under the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. This restitution was made by Ervyna Zulaiha, the former head of the Bulukumba Perum Bulog branch, marking a crucial step in reclaiming state finances.

The return of these funds is a direct consequence of the Supreme Court of Indonesia's decision, which rejected the appeals of both the prosecution and Ervyna Zulaiha. Previously, Ervyna was found guilty by the Makassar District Court's Corruption Crimes Division, receiving a four-year prison sentence, a Rp200 million fine, and an order to pay Rp1,411,917,856 in replacement money, which has now been deposited into the State Treasury.
