Bulungan Regency Launches 'Berlian' Movement for Child Safety

The Bulungan Regency government, in collaboration with community members and stakeholders, has declared the 'Bersama Lindungi Anak' (Berlian) movement to foster safe and nurturing environments for children.

This initiative marks the culmination of the 42nd National Children's Day celebration in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan. The movement's core objectives include creating secure and comfortable spaces for children's development, preventing all forms of violence, exploitation, and neglect in homes, schools, and communities, and ensuring the non-discriminatory fulfillment of children's rights.

Bulungan Deputy Regent Kilat stressed that protecting children is a collective duty, extending beyond the government to include businesses, community organizations, the media, and especially parents. "Let us all protect our children. They are the nation's assets," he urged, highlighting the government's and society's commitment to supporting the younger generation.

Andriana, Head of the Bulungan Regency Office for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning, explained that the movement's theme, 'Love Children, Protect and Build Their Future,' underscores the importance of synergy. The goal is to enhance public awareness and encourage collaborative efforts that positively impact child development, ultimately creating safe havens for children in line with each party's responsibilities.
