Bulungan Regency Ready to Build Speedboat Port in Tanah Kuning

The regional government of Bulungan Regency in North Kalimantan is signaling its readiness to develop crucial infrastructure with the planned construction of a speedboat port in Tanah Kuning. This initiative is a direct response to the escalating passenger traffic in the region, particularly within the Tanah Kuning area, which has been designated a National Strategic Project. The development is expected to significantly enhance connectivity and support the burgeoning industrial activities in the area.

Regent Syarwani has publicly affirmed the physical readiness for the port project and is actively engaging with the provincial government. He has called upon the Provincial Transportation Agency to ensure that the sea route connecting Tarakan and Tanah Kuning adheres strictly to all maritime regulations and safety protocols. This collaborative approach highlights the importance of coordinated efforts between regional and provincial authorities to realize such significant infrastructure projects.
