Buna returns for Fijian Drua Women's clash, Ditavutu eyes debut

Exciting winger Atelaite Buna is set to rejoin the Fijian Drua Women for their Round 3 Super Rugby Women's match against the Brumbies this Saturday. Head coach Mike Legge has named Buna on the right wing for the team's first home game at Four R Stadium in Ba. Buna, returning from her commitments with the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team, aims to build on her impressive record of six tries for the club. This match also presents a potential milestone for Fijiana 7s captain Verenaisi Ditavutu, who has been included in the matchday squad and could make her debut for the Drua after joining the team this week. The Drua Women's squad receives a significant boost with the return of several key players. Sulita Waisega and Merewairita Neivosa are back from injury, while lock Mereoni Nakesa also returns to the starting lineup. The starting team features Karalaini Naisewa, Keleni Marawa, and Tiana Robanakadavu in the front row, with Nakesa partnering Carletta Yee in the second row. The back row comprises Nunia Daunimoala, Salaseini Railumu, and Waisega. Captain Kolora Lomani will lead the team from halfback, supported by flyhalf Varanisese Qoro. The midfield will see Josivini Naihamu and Neivosa combine, with Litiana Vueti at fullback. Repeka Tove and Buna will cover the wings. The bench includes Bitila Tawake, Zipporah Sorokacika, and Keri Lawavou for front-row cover, and Karavaki Lutumaibau and Alfreda Fisher for forward depth. The day's events will also include curtain-raiser matches featuring Ba Women against Lautoka Women, and a Drua Junior development side facing the Ba Under-17 team.
