Bundesliga: Paderborn signs defender ter Horst from Münster

SC Paderborn, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, has secured the signing of defender Jano ter Horst from Preußen Münster, who were relegated from the second division. The Ostwestfalen club announced the transfer on Tuesday.

Ter Horst, 23, was a key player for Münster in the past season, appearing in 32 league matches and notably scoring his only goal of the season against Paderborn. He has been a regular member of the first team since 2023.

Sebastian Lange, Paderborn's sports director, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition. "Jano fits our sports club very well with his profile," Lange stated. "He can be used flexibly in defense. He is also fast, team-oriented, and has potential for development."

Lange further highlighted ter Horst's strong mentality and excellent physical condition as significant assets. The club believes these qualities will make him a valuable addition to the squad as they prepare for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
