Burger King Re-releases 'Penta Cheese Whopper' Nationwide After Successful Trial

Burger King is bringing back its popular "Penta Cheese Whopper" to all its outlets across South Korea starting March 22, following positive reception during a limited trial last year. This menu item is an upgraded version of the chain's signature "Quattro Cheese Whopper."

The "Penta" in the name signifies the five distinct cheese flavors incorporated into the burger. This is achieved through a combination of the original cheese offerings and a specially developed bun infused with mozzarella. The aim is to provide a richer and more complex cheesy experience for customers.

The Penta Cheese Whopper first made its appearance in October as part of a special collaboration with the esports team Gen.G. The initial launch saw overwhelming demand, with long queues forming and the prepared stock selling out rapidly. This strong consumer interest, evident from immediate sell-outs and subsequent online requests for a nationwide release, prompted Burger King's decision to expand its availability.

For the preparation, a flame-grilled beef patty is topped with a variety of ingredients, including parmesan sauce, American cheese slices, and shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. This season, the burger also features a larger, handcrafted bun compared to the previous year's version, further enhancing its appeal.
