Busko-Zdrój named best spa town in Poland; seniors benefit from discounts

Busko-Zdrój has been recognized as Poland's top spa destination, according to a ranking based on reader votes from Travelist Magazine. This award highlights a growing trend of seniors choosing private spa treatments over public healthcare options to bypass lengthy waiting lists.

While private stays require full payment, they offer greater flexibility in selecting facilities, dates, and treatment plans. This shift allows individuals to tailor their wellness experiences to their specific needs. Busko-Zdrój, celebrated for its gentle microclimate and therapeutic sulfur springs, secured the first position. The town also boasts a historic park, the Marconi Sanatorium, and a brine graduation tower.

Muszyna and Krynica-Zdrój followed in the rankings, with Muszyna praised for its mineral waters beneficial for cardiovascular and respiratory ailments, and Krynica-Zdrój noted for its mineral waters, climate, and architecture, attracting visitors for digestive and metabolic issues. Other popular spa towns in the top ten include Kołobrzeg, Świnoujście, and Nałęczów.

Full-paying stays in Busko-Zdrój can range from 350 PLN per night for a double room during peak season, with single rooms starting at 390 PLN. Off-season rates are lower, with a double room costing 310 PLN per night. Discounts are available for holders of various senior and family cards, including the Large Family Card and the Nationwide Senior Card.
