Caaguazú Offers Family Attractions for Winter Holidays

As Paraguay's winter school holidays approach, the department of Caaguazú is positioning itself as a prime destination for domestic tourism. The region boasts a diverse range of attractions, including rural tourism experiences, ecological parks, and comfortable lodging options spread across its various districts.

San José de los Arroyos, in particular, is home to Hacienda La Soñada Complejo Turismo. This venue offers a unique "Apiary & Farm Experience" that provides visitors with an in-depth look at the world of bees, their importance to nature, and the process of honey production. The two-hour tour includes a guided tasting of premium honeys, paired with fresh fruits, cheeses, and artisanal breads, as well as a wine pairing from Bodega Giacometti.

Beyond the apiary, the experience extends to interacting with farm animals, guided tours of the beehives, horseback riding, and enjoying artisanal rums and liqueurs.
