Cabinet extends external management at Kum-Shagyl until October

The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers has once again extended the period of temporary external management at Kum-Shagyl CJSC, a decision that will now last until October 24, 2026. This extension is implemented through amendments to a resolution initially adopted on February 29, 2024, and was signed by Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The primary objective behind this decision is to address significant violations of legislation concerning environmental protection, industrial safety, and the use of subsoil resources. These violations have been identified as posing a direct threat to the lives and health of the public. The government aims to rectify these issues through the continued oversight of external management.

As part of the process, the State Property Management Agency has been instructed to nominate a suitable temporary external administrator. This individual will be appointed following the established procedures. The agency is also responsible for notifying the relevant state authorities, specifically those involved in the registration of legal entities, about the extension of Kum-Shagyl's external management. The Cabinet's resolution officially takes effect on July 24, 2026.
