Brazilian presidential candidate Ronaldo Caiado has sharply criticized President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's foreign policy, accusing the administration of allowing foreign leaders to insult Brazil's leadership. During a forum at Correio Braziliense, Caiado stated that Brazil's foreign ministry had become an "ideological arm of the PT," Lula's Workers' Party.

Caiado suggested that Lula's own conduct and diplomatic style emboldened such disrespectful behavior from international figures.
