Cancun Country Open 2026 Main Draw Set

The Cancun Country Open is gearing up for its second edition, with the main draw ceremony for the ATP Challenger 125 tournament taking place ahead of the competition. Scheduled from August 18 to 23, the event will be held on the hard courts of the Cancun complex.

Tournament director Daniel Langre and ATP supervisor Rogerio Santos oversaw the main draw, which has generated significant anticipation for the opening round matches. Among the 24 confirmed players, the most eagerly awaited is Swiss tennis icon Stan Wawrinka, a three-time Grand Slam champion. He is set to face Czech Republic's Dalibor Svrcina, who is 23 years old.

The ex-world number three and winner of three Grand Slams (Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open) will measure forces with the Czech Dalibor Svrcina.

Four additional players will emerge from the qualification round. There's also a possibility for two more Mexican players, Alan Magadán and Luis Carlos Álvarez, to advance to the main draw and join Alex Hernández and Rodrigo Pacheco. Pacheco, currently the top-ranked Mexican player at No. 292 in the ATP rankings, will compete against Chile's Tomás Barrios Vera, a lucky loser ranked 147th in the world.

Pacheco was one of three players who received a wildcard entry into the ATP Challenger 2025 tournament, highlighting his promising career trajectory.
