Car catches fire while driving, driver escapes unharmed

A car burst into flames while driving on Yıldırım Beyazıt Street in the Merkez neighborhood of Serik, Turkey, forcing the driver to flee the vehicle moments before it became engulfed in fire. The incident caused significant alarm among local residents due to the potential for an explosion.

After the driver managed to exit the burning car, the vehicle continued to move forward before crashing into the garden wall of a nearby house. The sight of the car ablaze and the subsequent collision with the property created a tense atmosphere, with neighbors rushing to report the emergency to the 112 Acil Çağrı Merkezi.

Emergency services, including firefighters, police, and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality firefighters responded swiftly, bringing the fire under control and extinguishing it in a short period. Police secured the area, and an investigation into the cause of the accident and fire was initiated. The car was reduced to a charred wreck.

The driver, who sustained injuries during the fire, was transported to the hospital by a concerned citizen. Murat Biçer, who assisted the driver, reported that the car was "burning like fire" and the driver was injured. Biçer stated he immediately took the driver to the hospital, adding that the driver's condition is now stable and they are receiving treatment.
