Car crashes into house gate in Mati, flips over

A serious traffic accident occurred on Kyani Akti Street in Mati when a car traveling downhill collided with a parked vehicle before smashing into a house gate. The impact caused the car to flip over, coming to rest on its roof.

According to rpn.gr, a local resident helped the driver, who was trapped inside, to escape unharmed. Firefighters and police responded to the scene, and Kyani Akti Street was closed to traffic for at least three hours following the incident.

Residents have voiced concerns about the daily occurrences of dangerous driving and impromptu "rallies" on the narrow streets. They highlight that these reckless behaviors take place on roads used by pedestrians, including the elderly and children, as well as cyclists.

The residents emphasize that observing low speeds within the settlement is not merely a recommendation but a fundamental requirement for protecting human life.
