Cargo Trucks Collide on Seoul Expressway; One Overturns

A collision between two cargo trucks on the Seoul Outer Ring Expressway resulted in a 1-ton truck overturning, leading to injuries for its driver. The incident occurred around 10:06 a.m. on August 14, near the Noo-ji Interchange in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, on the section heading towards Pangyo.

The driver of the 25-ton truck, identified as a man in his 50s, rear-ended the 1-ton truck ahead. The impact caused the smaller truck to flip over. Emergency services, including 119 rescue personnel, responded to the scene. The driver of the overturned truck, also in his 50s, was rescued and treated for injuries, primarily to his waist. Fortunately, his condition is not life-threatening.

The accident led to significant traffic disruptions as the cargo from the overturned truck spilled onto the roadway. Police are investigating the exact cause of the collision. A police official stated that the case is expected to be closed once insurance settlements are completed.
