Carlos Espí Leaves Levante to Sign for Real Madrid

Carlos Espí has officially departed Levante UD to join Real Madrid, marking a significant move for the young Spanish forward. Levante announced the agreement late Thursday, calling it the "biggest sale of a player developed in the granota youth academy," though financial details were not disclosed.

Espí, 21, had been a standout performer for Levante since arriving in the summer of 2022. He quickly became a vital part of the team, contributing to a historic league championship win for the U19 team. His senior debut came in February 2024, and he played a crucial role in Levante's promotion to the top flight, scoring six goals in 36 matches in LaLiga Hypermotion.

His transition to La Liga proper saw him confirm his considerable potential. Espí was recognized as the best player of March and ultimately earned the award for the best U23 player of the championship. In his first top-flight season, he netted 11 goals in 25 league appearances, leading Levante in scoring. Despite interest from the Premier League, the forward ultimately chose to join Real Madrid.
