Casa Emprender La Florida: The municipal hub with free coworking, advice, and proprietary technology

The Municipality of La Florida has established "Casa Emprender," a municipal hub offering free coworking space and business acceleration services. Located on Alonso de Ercilla street, the center is designed to consolidate local commerce and support the growth of emerging projects for residents, students, and micro-entrepreneurs.

'Casa Emprender' is a free space where people can use its facilities, where they can not only generate work meetings but also have spaces to work. And most importantly: they receive mentoring, receive training, and have the opportunity to generate contact networks.

Operated by the municipality's Development Corporation, Casa Emprender provides workshops on digital marketing, workspace infrastructure, and legal and accounting advice. These services are intended to help entrepreneurs formalize their businesses, particularly those originating on social media, and accelerate their commercial expansion. Mayor Daniel Reyes highlighted that the space is free to use for meetings, work, mentorship, and networking.

Reyes emphasized that formalization should be viewed as an opportunity rather than an obstacle, opening doors for credit and benefits. Beyond business support, the municipality has developed proprietary technology, including tools for condominiums and ride-sharing drivers, as well as the "Coraje" system for pets.

The "Coraje" device is a QR-coded tag for pets. If a lost pet is found, scanning the QR code initiates a chat between the finder and the owner, facilitating a quick reunion.
