Casablanca Deploys AI-Powered Smart Patrol Vehicles to Boost Security

Casablanca's security forces have launched two innovative smart patrol vehicles, named "Aman" and "Madar," as part of a national strategy to modernize the security fleet and improve field response. These advanced vehicles represent a significant technological upgrade for the Moroccan police.

The "Aman" patrol vehicle is a fully domestically developed innovation, featuring an integrated visual surveillance system with 360-degree cameras. This system utilizes real-time artificial intelligence for automatic license plate and facial recognition, directly linking to command centers and field units. Its capabilities are designed to aid in traffic control and crime prevention.

The smart patrol vehicles 'Aman' and 'Madar,' developed within a 100 percent Moroccan project, represent smart technological solutions based on artificial intelligence for mobile monitoring and surveillance.

Complementing "Aman" is the "Madar" patrol vehicle, a mobile smart surveillance platform that transforms ordinary vehicles into high-tech security units using similar AI algorithms. "Madar" is equipped with 3D-printed emergency lights housing high-definition cameras capable of tracking fast-moving traffic across multiple lanes simultaneously. It also includes a central panoramic camera for comprehensive blind-spot coverage and a powerful signal light system.

The entry of these two platforms into service is part of the efforts to modernize the security fleet and improve the services provided to citizens and enhance the effectiveness of security work.

Police official Abdelrazzak Safsafi highlighted that these 100% Moroccan-developed smart patrol cars are intelligent technological solutions for mobile monitoring. He emphasized that their deployment signifies an effort to update the security apparatus, improve citizen services, and boost operational effectiveness. These units will work alongside field units to analyze data and respond instantly to incidents, thereby enhancing the protection of people and property.

The smart patrols feature a new visual identity, GPS tracking, and direct access to the General Directorate of National Security's central database. Following initial development, field testing, and training, "Aman" and "Madar" are now operational in Casablanca and will be gradually introduced in Rabat, Tangier, and other cities across Morocco. This initiative aligns with the Directorate's ongoing efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology into security operations and prepare for upcoming national events.
