CDF Munir reaffirms Balochistan’s peace, prosperity and well-being as priorities

Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison on Saturday and placed Balochistan’s peace, prosperity and well-being at the centre of the state’s efforts.

The visit came amid a recent surge in terrorist activity across the province. The reported violence included attacks in Pishin and Chagai, while security forces carried out major counterterrorism operations in Mastung, Kalat and Sibi over the past week.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Munir was received by the Quetta Corps commander and given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security environment, operational preparedness and measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability across Balochistan.

“The field marshal reaffirmed that the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Balochistan remained central to the efforts of the state,” the ISPR said. He also stressed that a stable and secure environment would continue to facilitate development in the province.
