An international relations expert has cautioned that the true test of recent ceasefire understandings lies not in their agreement, but in their practical application.

Dr. Tarek El-Bardisi, speaking on the program "Masaa' Jadeed," described the recent developments as a crucial step toward de-escalation. However, he stressed that complex regional and international situations necessitate a firm commitment from all parties to achieve lasting calm.

El-Bardisi explained that the current phase demands a transition from a framework agreement to concrete actions within the Gaza Strip. The success of any deal, he noted, depends on the fulfillment of reciprocal obligations. These include managing arms, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, and implementing a gradual Israeli withdrawal as agreed upon.
