Celebrity Ruben Onsu Named Suspect in Fraud Case

Indonesian celebrity Ruben Onsu is facing legal trouble after being named a suspect in a fraud and embezzlement case by the South Jakarta Metro Police. The case originated from a police report filed in August 2025 by an individual identified as P, with the victim being DM.

The chronological order is that the reported person has a business, then offers the victim to invest their funds. Then the victim is interested in carrying out the agreement between the victim and the reported person.

According to police, Onsu allegedly offered the victim an investment opportunity with promised profits. The victim agreed and invested, but never received the promised returns, nor was the initial capital returned. This led the victim to file the report.

When the agreed time came, the profits were not obtained and the capital was not returned either. Regarding that, the victim reported this incident to the South Jakarta Police.

The investigation was elevated to a formal inquiry on April 25, 2026, involving witness testimonies. Following a case review, Onsu was officially designated a suspect.

A few days ago, a case review was conducted, and from the case review, the participants agreed that the reported person, Mr. RSO, his status was changed to suspect. Then a suspect designation letter was made.

Police plan to summon Onsu for questioning as a suspect, with the interrogation likely scheduled for the following week. Details regarding the victim's financial losses remain part of the ongoing investigation.
