Celltrion Expands 'Omclow' Sales to 15 Italian Regions, Boosts Biosimilar Pipeline

Celltrion is expanding the reach of its allergy treatment 'Omclow' across Italy, with the drug now available in 15 regions. The company has secured exclusive supply agreements with regional governments in seven of these areas, underscoring the growing market presence of its Omalizumab biosimilar.

Further bolstering Celltrion's portfolio, its autoimmune disease treatments, 'Stekima' and 'Aptozma,' have also been successful in local tenders. This dual success in securing new product sales is expected to drive significant growth in the second half of the year. 'Omclow' is specifically used for chronic idiopathic urticaria and allergic asthma.

In key regions like Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, 'Omclow's' cumulative sales from January to May have already exceeded the total Omalizumab prescriptions from the same period last year. The company anticipates that 'Omclow' will constitute over 80% of the total Omalizumab supply in Puglia and Umbria by the end of 2026. With ongoing tender processes in other regions, further increases in prescription volumes are expected.

Celltrion's existing treatments, the autoimmune disease therapy 'Yuflyma' and the anticancer drug 'Vegzelma,' continue to hold strong market shares in Italy. In the first quarter of 2026, 'Yuflyma' and 'Vegzelma' captured 46% and 66% market shares respectively, both ranking first in their respective local markets. The company attributes its second-quarter performance growth partly to the successful bids and expanded supply of its newer products, projecting continued sales momentum into the second half of the year.
