Celtic Boss O’Neill Out of Hospital After ‘Small Procedure’

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has left the hospital after undergoing a "small procedure," according to assistant manager Shaun Maloney. O'Neill, 74, is reportedly in "good form" following his discharge.

Maloney provided an update on Friday, stating that O'Neill was significantly better than earlier in the week. However, he expressed uncertainty about whether the manager would be present for Sunday's match against Kilmarnock. "No timeline," Maloney said, indicating that O'Neill's return to the dugout is being assessed on a day-to-day basis.

He got out of hospital yesterday. He was in good form last night, loads better than he was Monday, Tuesday.

O'Neill, a veteran Northern Irish boss, took charge of Celtic's first Scottish Premiership game of the season against Dundee. He signed a one-year contract in June to become Celtic's permanent manager for a second time, having previously held the role during two interim spells last season. During his recent tenure, he guided Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title and also secured the Scottish Cup.
