Center Youssoupha Fall, seventh departure confirmed for Barça next season

FC Barcelona has announced that center Youssoupha Fall will depart the club at the end of his contract, making him the seventh player to leave the Catalan team for the 2026-27 season. Fall's contract concluded on June 30, and the club opted not to renew it after his tenure spanning 126 games since his arrival from ASVEL Villeurbanne in the summer of 2024.

During his time with Barcelona, Fall averaged 6.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in just over twelve minutes per game in the Liga Endesa. His contribution in the EuroLeague was more limited, with averages of 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in approximately seven and a half minutes of play.

Fall's departure adds to a significant roster turnover. He joins center Willy Hernangómez, point guard Tomas Satoransky, power forward Miles Norris, and shooting guard Myles Cale, all of whom also saw their contracts expire. Additionally, point guard Juani Marcos has agreed to a mutual termination of his contract, and veteran center Jan Vesely announced his retirement a month and a half ago.

The future of point guard Nico Laprovittola also remains uncertain, as his contract also expired on June 30, and he has not yet received a renewal offer. On the acquisition front, Barcelona is reportedly finalizing deals for several new players. These include centers Josh Nebo from Armani Milan and Moses Wright from Zalgiris Kaunas, point guard Justin Robinson from Paris Basketball, power forward Olivier Nkamhoua from Varese, and shooting guard Agustín Ubal from Manresa. The club is also still in the process of finding a successor for head coach Xavi Pascual.
