This impressive performance brings the delegation's total to 24 medals: 8 gold, 8 silver, and 8 bronze, solidifying their eighth-place position in the overall medal standings.

This achievement surpasses Panama's medal count of 23 from the San Salvador 2023 games. Notably, the eight gold medals represent a historic milestone, as the country has not won this many gold medals in the Central American and Caribbean Games since 1950 in Guatemala City, marking a significant resurgence over seven decades.

Highlights of the day included Diddier Rodríguez's gold medal and national record in the 3,000m steeplechase, which also qualified him for the 2027 Pan American Games. Panama's baseball team clinched its first-ever gold medal in the history of the games, defeating Nicaragua 1-0 in a dramatic final, also securing a spot in Lima 2027.
