Central Java Attracts Investment Amid Global Pressures, Governor Says

Governor Ahmad Luthfi of Central Java proudly noted the region's significant investment flow, describing it as remarkable given current global fiscal pressures and geopolitical conditions. He made these remarks following the inauguration of the 23 Semarang Shopping Center and the groundbreaking ceremony for Hyatt Place in Semarang.

He explained that the Central Java Provincial Government consistently works to foster investor confidence. "Looking ahead, Central Java is a province that captures hearts, serving as a gateway for investment both domestically and internationally. Our foreign direct investment is nearly 58 percent," he added.

Luthfi stressed the need to boost industrial investment, alongside the agricultural sector which supports food self-sufficiency goals. "We only have 12 industrial areas; I am adding 10 more. I have ordered the regents and mayors to create their own industrial areas," he said. He claimed the provincial government simplifies the development of industrial zones.
