Champions League: 10 clubs advance after first qualifying round second legs

Ten football clubs have advanced to the next stage of the Champions League first qualifying round following the conclusion of their second-leg matches. Teams securing their progression include KuPS Kuopio, Lincoln Red Imps, Iberia Tiflis, Vikingur Reykjavik, Ararat-Armenia, Levski Sofia, Sabah, Kauno Zalgiris, Larne, and Shamrock Rovers.

The matches saw several close contests. In Finland, KuPS Kuopio defeated Vardar 2-3 after winning the first leg 2-0. Iberia Tiflis advanced with a 3-2 aggregate score against Flora Tallinn after a 2-2 draw in the second leg. Ararat-Armenia overcame Riga 3-2 in their second leg, but lost on aggregate.

Vikingur Reykjavik drew 2-2 with Gyori ETO, having won the first leg 0-1. Sabah secured their spot by beating The New Saints 1-2, building on their 0-2 first-leg victory. Levski Sofia dominated Borac with a 4-0 win in the second leg, following a 1-1 draw. Lincoln Red Imps advanced after a 1-1 draw with Inter Escaldes, having won the first leg 1-3. Kauno Zalgiris edged out Drita with a 2-3 victory in their second leg. Shamrock Rovers comfortably defeated Floriana 5-1, adding to their 0-2 first-leg advantage. Finally, Larne secured a 2-1 win against Tre Fiori, having won the first leg 1-0.
