Chelsea confirm Welbeck signing from Brighton

Chelsea has officially announced the signing of striker Danny Welbeck from Brighton, securing the veteran forward on a two-year contract. The 35-year-old becomes Chelsea's third acquisition of the summer transfer window, following Morgan Rogers and Marco Palestra.

Welbeck arrives at Stamford Bridge having scored a career-high 13 league goals in 37 appearances for Brighton last season, positioning him as one of the top English goalscorers in the Premier League. His transfer fee was not disclosed by either club.
