Chen Jiang-shuang named P. LEAGUE+ MVP for May

Chen Jiang-shuang of the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots has earned the P. LEAGUE+ MVP award for May, capping off a stellar month. He was instrumental in the Pilots securing a crucial four-game home winning streak in May, a performance that contributed to the team's historic achievement of an undefeated home record for the season.

This marks a significant milestone for Chen in his debut PLG season. He played in 24 games, starting only one, but his impact was undeniable. On May 3rd, he recorded his first career triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists, and 6 steals in 42 minutes. This accomplishment made him the first non-foreign player this season to achieve a triple-double and the fourth non-foreign player in league history to do so in a regular-season game.

At 23 years, 6 months, and 6 days old, Chen also became the youngest player in PLG history to complete a triple-double. His performance in May included impressive shooting percentages, with two-point and three-point field goal rates exceeding 47%. These strong all-around statistics earned him widespread recognition in the MVP voting, where he secured 13 first-place votes out of 22, totaling 72 points.
