Chhattisgarh is set to significantly boost its implementation of the PM GatiShakti national master plan through two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

The agreements were signed with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) and the National Logistics Data Services Ltd (NLDSL). These collaborations are designed to enhance the state's infrastructure planning and development by integrating advanced geospatial technology and comprehensive logistics data.

The signing ceremony took place during the PM GatiShakti & LEADS 2025 Dissemination Workshop in Raipur. This event, jointly organized by the Chhattisgarh Department of Commerce & Industries and India's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), brought together officials from various states to discuss the operationalization and application of these initiatives.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the transformative impact of PM GatiShakti, noting its role in strengthening data-driven decision-making for infrastructure planning. "PM GatiShakti is strengthening data-driven decision-making in Chhattisgarh, enabling us to plan infrastructure more effectively, identify connectivity and logistics gaps, and support better-aligned industrial development," Sai stated. "This is helping create stronger conditions for investment and sustainable economic growth."

The state has already operationalized PM GatiShakti by integrating over 35 departments onto the platform. Chhattisgarh has mapped 41 mandatory layers and more than 600 additional data layers, developing 45 use cases and 30 planning tools. The platform is actively used across various administrative branches, including GIS-based identification of road safety hazards and locating areas lacking banking infrastructure. The state's Annual Action Plan supports over 80 projects, with recent infrastructure developments including the installation of 600 mobile towers and the allocation of 700 acres for development in Nava Raipur. DPIIT recognized Chhattisgarh as a high performer among landlocked states in the LEADS 2025 assessment. Additionally, the Forest Department launched the 'Gaj Sanket' mobile application to manage human-elephant conflict using location-based data.
