Chiang Wan-an to attend Hualien no-confidence rally; DPP candidate calls it 'bold' move

Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an is set to attend a rally in Hualien on August 15 to support a no-confidence vote against the legislature. The event, organized by the Kuomintang (KMT) Hualien County branch, is titled "National Unity No-Confidence Vote United Rally" and will be held at the Hualien Little Arena.

Chiang Wan-an is quite bold.

Chiang's participation has drawn criticism from Shin-Pei-yang, the Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) candidate for Taipei mayor. Shin-Pei-yang sarcastically remarked that Chiang's ultimate goal in advocating for a no-confidence vote is to dissolve the legislature. He pointed out that Chiang acknowledges the Legislative Yuan's poor performance and identifies KMT caucus whip Fu Kun-chi as the leader responsible. Therefore, holding the rally in Fu's home turf is a "bold" move, Shin-Pei-yang stated, adding that he respects Chiang's decision.

Everyone knows that Chiang's ultimate goal in advocating for a no-confidence vote is to dissolve the Legislative Yuan, which means the Legislative Yuan is performing poorly.

The rally is scheduled to take place from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM and is designated as an internal party event, not open to the public. Chiang's attendance is by invitation.

Chiang Wan-an admits that the Legislative Yuan's performance is poor, and the leader of this poor performance is Fu Kun-chi, so he specifically went to Hualien to advocate for a no-confidence vote and dissolve the Legislative Yuan, in the 'leader's' territory. This is quite bold, we respect it.
