Children of Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford star together in new Ryan Murphy series

Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere, once a quintessential Hollywood couple, are now represented on screen by their children. Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Crawford, and Homer Gere, son of actor Gere, will co-star in Ryan Murphy's upcoming suspense series, "The Shards." This marks their first joint appearance in a production.

The series, based on Bret Easton Ellis's novel of the same name, is set in Los Angeles in 1981. It centers on Bret, a private high school student whose life takes a turn with the arrival of Robert Mallory, a new student who sparks his curiosity. Simultaneously, the city is gripped by fear due to a serial killer known as The Trawler.

Kaia Gerber takes on the role of Susan Reynolds, a member of Bret's inner circle. Homer Gere, son of Richard Gere and Carey Lowell, makes his television debut as Robert Mallory. The cast also features Evan Rachel Wood and Wes Bentley, blending emerging talent with established stars.

While the project boasts Ryan Murphy's production expertise, the casting of Gerber and Gere has generated particular interest due to their parents' past romance. Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford were a prominent couple from 1991 to 1995, before their separation, reportedly due to demanding work schedules and distance.
