Children Take Over Šibenik for 66th International Children's Festival Opening

The city of Šibenik, Croatia, has transformed into a hub of youthful energy and creativity with the official opening of the 66th International Children's Festival. For the duration of the festival, the city is symbolically handed over to children, showcasing their talents and perspectives.

The grand opening ceremony, held at Republic of Croatia Square, was a significant event attended by national and local dignitaries. Among the speakers were Nina Obuljen Koržinek, the Minister of Culture and Media, Zdravko Zima, representing the Croatian President, and Željko Burić, the Mayor of Šibenik, who welcomed attendees as the host.

This year's festival, a tradition that has been running for over six decades, was broadcast live by Croatian national television, extending its reach to a wider audience.
