China Airlines Group is extending significant support for the reconstruction of Japan's Kumamoto region, which was recently struck by an earthquake. The company announced a donation of NT$10 million to assist with post-disaster relief and rebuilding efforts.

Beyond the financial contribution, China Airlines is leveraging its operational capabilities to aid the affected community. The airline will provide free air transport for relief supplies to Kumamoto until the end of August. This commitment to humanitarian aid follows earlier measures taken by the airline. China Airlines had already offered flexibility for passengers holding tickets to Kumamoto, allowing them to change flights to Fukuoka or Kagoshima or receive refunds without penalty for travel before August 5, 2026.
