China praises Pakistan's Middle East peace efforts as both sides pledge close coordination

Chinese President Xi Jinping lauded Pakistan's "proactive role" in mediating peace between Iran and the United States during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The leaders convened in Beijing to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between their countries.

Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his gratitude for China's backing of Pakistan's mediation initiatives. He highlighted Xi's recent four-point Middle East plan as a "guiding framework" for achieving peace. This plan, introduced last month, underscores the principles of peaceful coexistence, national sovereignty, and adherence to international law, alongside a commitment to coordinating development and security efforts.
