Chiro and KSA turn clubhouse into 'study bar' with air fryer and golf

In Sint-Lambrechts-Herk, Belgium, the local branches of youth organizations Chiro and KSA have creatively repurposed their clubhouse into a dedicated "study bar" for the duration of the June exam period. Leaders and members are gathering in their familiar youth movement spaces to study together, transforming the environment into a productive hub.

Beyond snacks, the clubhouse offers recreational activities during breaks, such as a game of golf on the spacious lawn or watching a series like "F.C. De Kampioenen."

For many, the youth movement's clubhouse offers a more appealing and accessible alternative to traditional study locations like libraries or universities. "Here I know everyone and can just come in my jogging pants," says Sam, a chief leader, emphasizing the relaxed and familiar atmosphere. This sense of community and shared experience is a key motivator, with members finding that seeing each other study encourages them to work harder.

While the atmosphere can vary from quiet concentration to lively interaction, members like Klaas have found the environment highly conducive to studying. Klaas, who has studied at the clubhouse for the past four exam periods, notes, "This exam period is going a bit more difficult, so you can expect me back here in August." The blend of focused study, social interaction, and comfortable amenities has made the Chiro and KSA clubhouse a popular and effective study destination.
