Cho Myung-woo wins sixth career three-cushion World Cup, setting Asian record

Cho Myung-woo overturned a tight final with an 11-point run in the 14th inning, then finished off Dick Jaspers 50-38 to win the 2026 Liège Three-Cushion World Cup.

The South Korean, ranked No. 1 in the world, stayed close to the Dutch player through the early and middle stages of the final. His 11-point run turned a 34-34 contest into a 37-34 lead. Cho added seven points in the 15th inning to move 44-34 ahead, then reached the winning mark of 50 in the 18th inning. The final average was 2.777.

The title was Cho’s sixth World Cup victory, the most ever by an Asian player. He defeated Jaspers in the final of the Ankara World Cup three months earlier and has now won three World Cups this year, including the event in Bogotá.
