CHP Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan involved in altercation at birthday party

Ahmet Baran Yazgan, a deputy for the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Edirne, became involved in a dispute that escalated into a physical altercation during his birthday celebration at a home in Edirne.

The incident reportedly began when allegations surfaced that Yazgan had harassed women present at the gathering. The situation quickly devolved into a fight among those in attendance.

Ahmet Baran Yazgan, 39, was born in Edirne and has had a varied career. He studied Bulgarian language and International Relations at Sofia University in Bulgaria and completed a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Kültür University. He has been involved in his family's businesses in the health and tourism sectors, serving on the boards of Private Trakya Hospital and Trakya City Hotel. He is also the owner of the local newspaper Vatandaş Gazetesi.

Politically, Yazgan was elected to the Edirne Municipal Council in 2019. He later became a Member of Parliament for Edirne in the 28th term of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 2023. He has held various positions in local associations related to tourism, health, and journalism.

Yazgan is married to Güliz Yazgan, and they have two sons, Onur Yağmur Yazgan and Kaya Yazgan.
