CHP faction uses guards to enter Ankara provincial headquarters after court ruling

Tensions are escalating within Turkey's Republican People's Party (CHP) as a faction aligned with the "absolute nullity" court ruling has reportedly used security guards to enter the party's Ankara provincial headquarters.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed to lead the CHP following the court's decision to invalidate the existing leadership, had appointed Fahri Yıldırım, the former Çankaya District Chairman, as the new Ankara Provincial Chairman. However, the elected deputy provincial head, Özgür Cinalioğlu, reported that the group supporting the court's decision, referred to as the "nullity team," forced their way into the building accompanied by security personnel.

The elected leadership, including the acting CHP Ankara Provincial Head Yüksel Işık, has reportedly gone to the scene. The incident highlights the ongoing internal power struggle within the CHP since the court's ruling on the validity of its leadership, creating a contentious situation at the provincial level.
